Netherlands

— Legal (truffles only)

Psilocybin-containing truffles are legal for adults to buy, possess, and consume; dried mushrooms are not.

— Legal (never scheduled)

Psilocybin mushrooms were never added to Jamaica's controlled-substances schedule — cultivation, sale, possession, and use are lawful for adults.

— Legal (traditional ceremonial use protected)

Traditional ayahuasca ceremony is legally protected via a UN convention reservation and a 2008 cultural-heritage declaration. No centre-licensing system exists.

— Ambiguous

Ayahuasca isn't specifically scheduled, but its active compound DMT is controlled. Costa Rica's Ministry of Health issued a public health warning in Jan 2025.

Oregon operates a fully state-licensed and regulated psilocybin facilitator model under Measure 109 — a different legal basis to every other jurisdiction on this map.

— Prohibited except via TGA Authorised Prescriber pathway

Recreational psilocybin and MDMA use is illegal. Clinical access exists only via the TGA's narrow Authorised Prescriber scheme for specific conditions.
