Psilocybin Retreats
Atman Retreat
Montego Bay, Jamaica
Atman Retreat runs 4-day, 3-night group psilocybin retreats at a private gated villa near Montego Bay, Jamaica, founded in 2018 by Aaron Nesmith-Beck. Retreats take up to 12 participants supported by three facilitators and two additional staff, and include a group psilocybin session, guided preparation and integration activities, one-on-one facilitator check-ins, accommodation, meals and airport transfers.
Atman’s materials state that retreats are held in Jamaica, where psilocybin mushrooms are legal. The application process addresses contraindications — the FAQ notes that people with personal or family histories of bipolar disorder, schizophrenia or other psychotic conditions may be at risk — and the operator states a covering physician is on call throughout psilocybin sessions. Facilitator bios published on the site describe master’s-level qualifications in psychology and social work, Hakomi somatic-psychotherapy training, and MAPS-associated training backgrounds.
Published pricing is USD $2,295 (approx. A$3,202*), with a limited low-income rate of USD $395 (approx. A$551*); flights are not included.
Update (July 2026): Atman’s website now states “Atman is now part of Odyssey, providing legal psilocybin retreats & private sessions in Oregon & Colorado, USA.” The Jamaica venue is still described on the site, but prospective participants are directed to apply through Odyssey’s readiness assessment rather than booking with Atman directly, and current offerings appear to have shifted to licensed programs in the United States.
This program is held in Jamaica, where psilocybin is not a prohibited substance. Psilocybin remains a prohibited substance in Australia outside the authorised clinical pathway. Australians travel at their own responsibility; this is not medical advice.
